Issue with User agent Emulated Motorola G (gen 4)

Hi all!

Today I run some web page test on Salt Lake City, Utah - GCE - Chrome - Emulated Motorola G (gen 4) - Mobile and I get my desktop site as you can see in the following test https://www.webpagetest.org/result/211202_BiDcKR_fe473ed0b3a54a6d7250eb69547f78bb/

This happen because we use user Agent to check if we are in desktop or mobile and I compare with older test and I see that user agent change to User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/96.0.4664.45 Safari/537.36. It is a chrome browser

http://tools.scientiamobile.com/?user-agent-string=Mozilla%2F5.0+(X11%3B+Linux+x86_64)+AppleWebKit%2F537.36+(KHTML%2C+like+Gecko)+Chrome%2F96.0.4664.45+Safari%2F537.36

The test that work as expected is WebPageTest - Running web page performance and optimization tests... with the following user agent Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 6.0.1; Moto G (4)) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/92.0.4515.159 Mobile Safari/537.36 PTST/210819.154939

Could you help me?

Thanks

Sorry about that. A fix for Chrome’s support for client hints (as part of the migration away from UA strings) had some unintended side-effects. The fix is rolling out now and should be in place over the next hour.
