Lighthouse PWA failing audit - NO_TRACING_STARTED

Since a week or two Lighthouse PWA audit “Page load is not fast enough on 3G” is failing with a message "Something went wrong with recording the trace over your page load. Please run Lighthouse again. (NO_TRACING_STARTED)

This happened on our private instance as well - since Chrome was upgraded on the agents to v64. It doesn’t reproduce when running from Chrome (audits tab or the extension).

I see complete failures trying to get lighthouse scores
“Sorry, Lighthouse had some issues gathering your report on WebPageTest. Please try again or try using Lighthouse through another way” which started abruptly on 2/8 which is after chrome 64

Hi, did you ever get to the bottom of this? I’m having very similar issues now.
