(NEWBIEW) Error 400 in http://www.webpagetest.org/runtest.php

Hi all,

I kinda new here. I’m trying to use the WebPageTest RESTful APIs but I always got this response:

400 An error occurred processing your request. Please reload the testing page and try submitting your test request again. (missing API key)

Do I still need to get an api key or something like that?

Yes, if you automate the public instance you need an API key (and the amount of testing is limited). It’s usually for light testing needs or proving out a design before standing up a private instance: https://sites.google.com/a/webpagetest.org/docs/private-instances

If you stand up a private instance then you can use it’s API as much as you’d like :slight_smile:
