The above link you can use multiple batch programs that will optimize all of your photos in one shot. Just backup your photos first before you do anything.
Or you can use Visual Studio https://www.visualstudio.com/
using a extension from Web Essentials 2017 - Visual Studio Marketplace

Either way will BATCH shrink all of your photos in your entire server or directory in various formats.
Both work equally well.
