IE6

Pat

I seem to remember some IE6 agents at one time (or I might be thinking of a locally hosted setup?)

I’m assuming that there are none either because it’s a pain or because IE7 is close enough. Could you confirm?

(IE6 is a must for our target markets so all other things being equal it would be a nice to have - especially in China and any other asian agents locations that might be coming along. Don’t suppose you have any plans for an Indian agent? That would be awesome.)

BR as always

Neil

There may have been a public IE6 a few years ago but those are pretty much reserved for private installs. The browser is just so insecure that it would make maintaining a public one pretty difficult. I might be able to set one up in a VM (that keeps resetting it’s state) but at least in the short term it would only be possible in Dulles. I do understand that it has pretty large market share in China though.

India is very high on the list of “desired places to have a location” because I get a lot of use from there and it has a large Tech industry. I mostly rely on partners but I am also working on getting an AOL-hosted instance in India since we have a presence there.

Thanks,

-Pat

OK, IE6 testing is now available from Dulles. Let me know if you see any problems. It’s running in a VM that resets itself every few hours just in case it gets hacked.

Thanks,

Works a treat so far Pat. As I said, it’s great for me - but if it becomes an albatross round your neck, please do kill it.

Thanks again

Neil
