response blocking

I know we can block requests based off a substring but is there a way to mimic response blocking.

i.e allow the request to be made but the response should be blocked

The SPOF ( Single Point Of Failure ) tab might be what you are looking for:

Simulate failure of specified domains. This is done by re-routing all requests for the domains to blackhole.webpagetest.org which will silently drop all requests.
