Content Download

Here is my test result:
http://www.webpagetest.org/result/121023_RJ_CT9/

It is a wordpress page. Is there anyway to further investigate why the download times are so big?

I don’t have wp super cache running as there used to be conflicts with another plugin I am running. I think they are resolved though so should I run wp super cache, would this help the content download speeds?

With a 30 second gap there is a seriously strong possibility that a plugin is trying to contact an external service for something and the external service is dead or not responding. Unfortunately we can’t see what is going on from the outside. You can try using something like New Relic (if you have root access to the server) or the P3 plugin profiler might be able to tell you which plugin is causing the issues: P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org
