I am having issues doing speed tests today and get this error:
Error: Failed to Connect
although my server seems to be up and running just fine…any ideas?

Any chance there was a transient issue or that you changed DNS recently and it finally propagated?

I didn’t change dns and my server was up when the failure notice kept happening–I got it about 10 times over 30 minutes or so.

Maybe a routing or networking issue somewhere between. If you see it again you can try from several different locations and also run a traceroute from the different WebPagetest locations to see if you can track down where the issue is. There were a lot of other tests run around the same time with no issues so I’m pretty confident that there wasn’t a problem on the testing side.
