My first time for Chrome is about 1.8 sec and firefox it is about .37 seconds

Do you have links to test results? Make sure to do multiple runs in each browser as well. If you ran the Chrome test first and only did one run it is likely that the difference is just because the server was warmed up for your page (caches were primed, etc) so the 2nd test went much faster.
