Google Pagespeed Testservice

On http://www.webpagetest.org/compare you offer a test for the new Google Pagespeed Service.

But IE 8 ? grrrr and the optimized Page is slower as the original - very fine service.

All of the locations and browsers are available to use for testing. Just select the “more configurations” option from the dropdown.

Given that you have already hand-optimized your site like crazy (with App cache, inline data URI’s, etc) and have it down to 4 requests I wouldn’t expect an automated solution to be able to do much better (and there is a cost to going through the rewriting but it is usually made up for in the gains). I believe the service is targeted more at the sites where the owners haven’t hand-optimized in order to give them an automated way to do it.

I understand.

I use only built in functions from my own cms-project powercms that supported pagespeed methods. Everybody who is using this cms can do it by the fly.
