No Agents Connected

I’m trying to figure out why the prebuilt server AMI isn’t working. I am using the ami-fcfd6194 AMI to spin up an instance in us-east-1, but when I go to http://instance/install none of the agents are connected.

I have read all of the references below, but I am still lost as to why I am experiencing this issue. Can you please help point me in the right direction?

Is there more documentation that I should read? Are there other posts that better describe the situation? Which logs should I read to shed some light on this situation?

Further reading of this forum seems to indicate a security group issue, but there doesn’t seem to be any indication about which ports need to be opened. Investigating…

I have confirmed that this was indeed the problem. I have opened up all protocols and ports to a limited number of IPs and all seems to be working as intended within the same VPC, but not across VPC.
