Understand the webpagetest results after some changes on a website

Hi, i am an user who is trying to improve the speed of a WordPress webpage but for my surprise, my changes have had a little impact on the results of webpagetest.org, even, it seems to be worse.

Maybe i am making things wrong or i am interpreting it wrong way.

This is the list of changes.

  1. Install a cache plugin and setup it.
  2. Enable gzip compression.
  3. Enable a CDN, CloudFlare.
  4. Setup cloudflare.

This are the results of the webpagetest before the changes.

  2. http://www.webpagetest.org/result/150927_4A_AAG/

This are the results of the webpagetest after the changes.

Any help will be appreciated.

Have a good day. Regards.

Page compression was enabled in the “before” test and is enabled in the “after” test. So not much to compare on this front. You could also try compressing images to see if that helps. Is page caching enabled in SG Cache?

Are you on shared or dedicated hosting?

Hi unixy, thanks for your reply.

The page is in a shared hosting on SiteGround.

I will make some more changes regarding of the compression of the images.

Regards.
