Visually comlete

Hello,

I’ve read your documentation but couldn’t find anywhere how Visually Complete value is determined and calculated. Please, advise.

Why Visually complete could be less or larger than Full Loaded.

How Visually complete value is calculated in case there’s an active banner on the page??

Visually Complete is the first point in the filmstrip where the viewport reaches 100% complete (based on histograms so it doesn’t necessarily mean a pixel-perfect match).

What happens in the viewport isn’t necessarily tied to the loading of resources (which is what fully loaded measures). It can (and often is) lower because pages will load content blow the fold, fire tracking and analytics beacons, etc. It can be higher if there is dynamic content in the viewport that changes from javascript or just because the resources loaded quickly but the browser has to do some expensive layout operations before drawing.
