WPT 2.5 opening two windows (1 blank, 2 webpage)

Hi,

First time posting, but I’m having an issue setting up a private instance using webpagetest 2.5

I’m running on Win 7 32bit, with IE 8, and I have installed dummynet, enabled apache settings, and php’s gd,zlib (zlib.output_compression = On, assuming this is enabling it?), and curl.

The issue I’m having is that I getting “The test completed but there were no successful results”. I also observed two IE windows opening. One with the actual URL that I inputted and the other is just blank.

Any ideas? I have been struggling with this for the last few days and would greatly appreciate any insight.

It looks like it is launching the repeat view test 1 second after the first view which means something went really wrong.

  • Is UAC disabled?
  • Do you have any antivirus or browser plugins installed that might be conflicting?

Sorry for this really late reply. I’m still facing the issue.

UAC is disabled: control-panel → System and Security → Change User Account Control settings → Moved the bar all the way down to “Never Notify”

All IE plugins have been disabled.

If I select only "First view only ", then I just see an “about:blank” window appear (no other windows).

Any ideas?
