Disconnected Windows test agents suddenly

Hello,

We have a couple of Windows test agents (ami-7463650e) suddenly disconnected over the weekend from our private WPT server. Other Linux agents are connected. These Windows test agents were working fine and no changes applied other than auto update from GitHub and Windows updates.

Are you aware of any breaking changes? Any logs we can look at the server or agents side? Is there anyone experiencing this problem?

No changes that I’m aware of. FWIW, I just (30 minutes ago) switched the Windows agents for the server AMI to use the new wptagent AMI’s instead of the legacy wptdriver AMI’s but that seems unrelated.

Is that an older version of the wptagent Windows AMI? If so, I built a new one last week and released new AMI’s because the old ones would no longer start up (the Windows root certificates got out of date and the rdp to localhost to start the agent running stopped connecting). If you switch to the newer wptagent AMI it should fix it.

Thanks Pat for your quick response.

Switching to the new AMI (ami-c682c3b9) from last week solved the problem. Now agent is connected and execute tests.

The problematic AMI is currently listed under the US east region: https://github.com/WPO-Foundation/webpagetest-docs/blob/master/user/Private%20Instances/ec2_agents.md

Pat sorry to bug you on a different topic: WebPageTest Forums. When you have chance would you please suggest anything else for the S3 archiving problem?
