urlblast doesn't start up

Hi Pat
I installed a new instance of urlblast into a new Win 2003 server, but this time around the urlblast.exe doesn’t start up. I can see the urlblast in the windows bar at the bottom, but it doesn’t pop-up as a window. When I see Task Manager, it says urlblast is Not Responding.
I’m not sure what could be wrong.
In the Event viewer, it just says the application hanged after I killed it.
Thanks. Hope you have some insights.
D.

32 or 64 bit server? Can uou shoot me the urlblast log file (the ini would specify where it is written)?

I’m working on debugging a problem with UrlBlast on one install where it is running on server 2003 64-bit (crashes at startup). Hopefully I’ll have it fixed in the next couple of days (the stack dumps have been less than useful but I’ve at least narrowed down where it is crashing).

FWIW, when urlblast starts, it starts minimized to the tray so it is out of the way when capturing video so at least that part is normal. You should be able to click on it to restore it though.

Thanks,

-Pat

Problem fixed!

Thanks Pat for your help. The answer was in the urlblast log file! DOH! For some reason, urlblast wasn’t able to create ‘user1’, so all I did was create the user with the password specified in the ini file and urlblast started working again.

Thanks
d.
